Who are we?
Lurederra is a technological center (private non-profit entity) that carries out research and applied technological development activities in the fields of nanotechnology, new materials and advanced environment at the service of companies and economical agents at both national and international level, including the subsequent implementation of the innovations developed in the industrial production centers.
Aware of the fundamental role of enterprises as generators of economic and social welfare, Lurederra makes available to the industrial network its own means for R & D in terms of technologies, processes and even materials and which should always result in a competitiveness improvement for the business sector. And this is more feasible from the uniqueness of Lurederra technologies capable of generating high-value industrial products.
Lurederra, recognized by the Ministry of Science and Innovation as Technological Center with the number 98, has achieved an excellent junction with the industrial sector, having carried out by the moment more than three hundred (300) long term projects of industrial research and technological development, both nationals and internationals, mainly within the R & D European Framework Programs. Therefore, it is already considered by many companies as its technology partner.
Ambition statements
The main objective of Lurederra within NEO-CYLE is the production of active species based on the recycled Fe precursors, their validation and also upscaling. Concretely, nanoparticles made of iron oxides will be synthesised to be used for ammonia and Suzuki reactions. The potential use of recovered materials instead of virgin precursors to generate high added-value nanoparticles is also in line with the cost-effective philosophy from Lurederra in the industrial processes and technologies developed. The project development will require the fine adjustment of the key parameters of the process, including nozzle pressure, feeding flow, combustion gases, etc.
TECHNOLOGIES
Unique Flame Spray Pyrolysis technology (FSP) for the synthesis of nanoparticles, including both laboratory and semi-industrial scale equipment, enabling direct upscaling of the specific nanomaterials produced. Lurederra has a great expertise in the production of very specific nanomaterials, resulting in multiple applications like catalysis (as is the case in the NEOCYCLE project), antibacterial, IR-barrier or magnetic among many others.
