Lombardy is an administrative region located in northern Italy that, with its population of about 10 million people, represents more than one sixth of Italy population and is the first region in terms of economic importance. Lombardy Region is associated partner in the project in connection with University of Pavia and, as public authority, will promote magnets upcycling in line with current and future regulations through these actions:
• Assessment of regional/national/European regulations related to the management of WEEE in
Lombardy Region and in Italy
• Performing local workshops with stakeholders to push recycling/upcycling and inform about project results
• Report about the important role that public authorities play in recycling at different levels, developing 1 policy
brief in English for European policymakers
• To guide regional policies in accordance with the findings of the project and developing 1 policy brief
for European awareness, targeting European policymakers
